AIN’T (Y)OUR HISTORY

by Rachel Atkins
directed by Shermona Mitchell

A free online presentation of a new play about race relations in the women’s suffrage movement, followed by a livestream panel discussion on the historical and current issues of equity and voting rights, and a voter registration drive.

AIN’T (Y)OUR HISTORY spans 72 years of the monumental battle for women’s right to vote through its untold stories of racial conflicts, draws parallels to what’s happening in our country today and brings forward the voices of African American suffragists silenced by history. In today’s racial, social and political environment, it couldn’t be more relevant or timely.

This event is free, but donations are graciously accepted. Click HERE to donate to the artists—or contribute directly to any of our civic partners.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Performers’ Unions: ACTORS’ EQUITY ASSOCIATION, AMERICAN GUILD OF MUSICAL ARTISTS, AMERICAN GUILD OF VARIETY ARTISTS, SAG-AFTRA through Theatre Authority, Inc. for their cooperation in permitting the Artists to appear on this program.
